dog fest 2009: bay to breakers for dogs...

bring your tall boys.. dog fest 2009 at duboce park is coming up on april 18th, 2009. i'm thinking of entering the "softest fur" competition, since my hair is ummm...so soft. come out and vote for muah.. if this is like a kissing booth, the wembley petting line is going to be huge.

i'm a mini labradoodle.. for reals..

i flickrd a bunch of my hommies.. and if you look close enough, there's totally a resemblance. especially the one in the bottom left.

if you have a small to medium size dog, i recommend the angora bunnies to entertain your pups while you're at work all day..

so the portuguese water dog wins..

according to People Pets the Obamas are looking into getting a rescue Portuguese Water dog (similar to the one shown here) and are debating what to name it. The new puppy might be named Frank or Moose. I vote for Moose.. People Pets is having people suggest other puppy namesof what this puppy should be called. personally, i'm still stuck on the fact that they didn't choose a labradoodle..

To dog lovers...... if you could pass this on, we may be able to find them
all good homes. Please let me know if you know of anyone who might be interested! Scott (my friend) rescued 6 black lab (mix) puppies out of the middle of the road on Saturday. PLEASE help me find them homes - otherwise, it's Animal Control - which means they only have 5 days. We've bathed them, sprayed them for fleas and wormed them....but we can't keep them. They are currently in a kennel in my basement since I don't have a fence. I've lost count of the number of rescue groups that I've contacted, only to be turned down due to no room. Please check with every dog person you know to see if they need a puppy.
